From Facebook to Stripe, tech startups have revolutionized everything about our way of life, from how we communicate to making payments for goods and services. With over 2 billion users on the social media platform, the effect of Facebook is not only apparent but impressive. The social media platform was founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and a group of friends. It has now become a part of our daily life and has served to connect people worldwide.

Stripe was founded in 2009, and it is an online payment processing platform that has processed over $350 billion of payments as of 2020 and only continues to expand. Stripe, alongside other online payment platforms, has made payments for goods and services far easier for businesses and individuals. The tech company, which has a mission of “increasing the GDP of the internet,” has made online payment part of millions of people’s daily lives in the 21st century.

The political effect of Twitter on nations of the world has been unique, such that politicians and governments are very conscious of what happens on Twitter. The app has about 353 million active users.
